The TRUTH

Jesus said, ” I am the truth“.1 This bold claim sets His truth apart from all others. The notion that all truths are fundamentally the same is a profound misunderstanding. Consider this analogy: both arsenic and aspirin come as tablets, but equating them due to their form is a dangerous error. Their content—what they are—determines their impact. Similarly, the truth of Jesus is unique in its content, purpose, and life-changing power.

Science seeks to understand the “how” of existence, yet the ultimate “why” and “cause” remain mysteries. Theories suggest “everything” emerged from “nothing,” a concept that, curiously, demands more faith than the Biblical account of creation.2 The Bible reveals God as the eternal Creator, existing beyond time, space, and matter. He crafted these elements and formed humanity in His image, reflecting His nature —unseen, all-powerful, and unbound.3 This God is not a universal Father but the Father only to those saved (redeemed) through Christ.4

God’s purpose, rooted in love, was to create humanity, to share His richess with His children.5 Unlike other philosophies, this vision is unique: God placed creation under humanity’s stewardship, intending a familial bond.6 Though humanity’s fall disrupted this plan, God’s ultimate goal remains,—to establish a spiritual and physical kingdom where Jesus reigns as King of kings, and believers rule with Him.7,8 All of history prepares us for this divine purpose.9,10

With God’s holiness and justice, sin is unacceptable, and separates humanity from Him.11 Every person has sinned, facing consequences in this life and beyond .12,13 Yet, God’s love provides free will and a solution: Jesus Christ, His Son, took our place, bearing the penalty of sin through His death on the cross .14 This act of redemption, unique among worldviews, offers reconciliation to all who accept it, restoring the intended relationship with God.15,16 God does not want anyone to perish or be separated forever.

Our eternal destiny hinges on a choice: accept or reject God’s offer of salvation through Jesus, the only mediator who conquered death.17 Historical evidence for Jesus’ resurrection is widely acknowledged, even by scholars and skeptics. Accepting Him requires repentance and faith, trusting in His sacrifice.18 Through grace, believers become new creations, assured of eternal life.19,20 Unlike subjective “post-truth” claims—such as “follow your heart” or “all ways are the same”—God’s truth is objective, rooted in His unchanging Word. Although God is love and He loves everyone irrespective of any of our attributes, we have to come to Him on His terms. Love is a sin if the object of our love is misplaced. God is not deceived or mocked. He is just and knows our hearts very well. It is really sad to see many who profess to follow God but their lives and hearts are far from Him.

To embrace this truth, humbly pray: Prayer is a conversation with God.

We are called to trust in His promises and not our feelings or doubts. Those who sincerely prayed and put their trust in Jesus, receive unshakable assurances:

1.→Assurance of forgiveness: If you have sincerely prayed and committed your life to Him, then He is faithfull and just to forgive.21,22

2.→Assurance of salvation: God has given us eternal life, if we have put our trust in Jesus Christ. The only condition, is that we have put our trust in Him.23 It is the guarantee that once you have repented of your sins, and put your faith in Jesus Christ, you enter into that relationship with God, sealed with the Holy Spirit. It is guaranteed, your sins are fully forgiven and assured of going to heaven. Assurance is not based on our good works but by faith through the finished work of Jesus on the cross.24

3.→Assurance of answered prayer: This is His promise that He always hears us and answers us according to His will. Always! His answer can be Yes, No, or Wait.25,26,27

4.→Assurance of victory: God calls us to a victorious life and not a stale, dull, or defeated one.28

5.→Assurance of guidance: God guides us everyday if we yield to Him and His will. He helps us make the right decisions in everyday life, big and small. Put God first in all our interactions, conduct and responses. He promised to guide us and cares for us.29

These promises, unlike the uncertainties of other paths, are grounded in the infallible Bible.

Believers are called to:

Follow Jesus’ example, studying Scripture and obeying God.30,31

Pray daily, seeking God’s will.32

Love God and others, reflecting His love.33

Join a church, growing with fellow believers.34,35

This journey transforms us to become like Christ, preparing us for His kingdom.36 Hardships shape us, not for worldly prosperity, but for eternal purpose.37,38 The current world is a fallen one, but the perfect world awaits us who know the truth, and accepted Jesus, the truth.

Life unfolds one day at a time. Yesterday is gone, its moments shaping today. Tomorrow, however, is never promised. We all know people who didn’t live to see another day. The Bible reminds us that tomorrow is uncertain.39 It’s not ours until it becomes today. Don’t be lulled into thinking tomorrow is guaranteed—this false comfort can deceive us daily. One day, it may be too late.

Today is yours; don’t let it slip away. Embrace God’s offer of truth through Jesus Christ now. Today is a gift of His mercy, another chance to respond. God is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but the choice is ours. Rejecting His offer leaves us without His help. Everything we strive for in life will fade, but this truth endures forever. Choose eternal and abundant life today—don’t wait for a tomorrow that may never come.

Oxford Dictionaries declared “post-truth” as its 2016 international word of the year. Post-truth is an adjective defined as ‘relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief’. Although this sounds modern and contemporary it is an age old concept. We see it in both the secular and spiritual worlds.

  • If it makes you happy, do it.
  • “You do you”.
  • All ways are the same.
  • Doing good is what matters, nothing else.
  • It is my body and I can do what I want.
  • “Follow Your Heart”.
  • “You Create Your Own Reality”.
  • “Live in the Moment”, no planning or intentionality.
  • “Trust Your Intuition Above All”.
  • The Bootstrap Mentality – “Hard Work Always Leads to Success”.
  • Following your passion will guarantee fulfilment.
  • I am what I think and feel, not what anybody else thinks or says.

I make my truth

Holiness not happiness

  • “God wants me to be happy.” (Truth-God’s will is holiness and true happiness is a consequence)
  • Prosperity in health and wealth (Truth-God’s will is we seek His Kingdom first not personal gain)
  • Church attendance and activities are the signs of a Christian life. (Truth-A transformed life bearing fruit is the sign of a Christian)
  • “I am OK if I am an “active” Christian.” (Truth-I am OK only if my heart is right before God-this is integrity)
  • “God is love and it does not matter who or what I love because He is love.” ( Truth-Love is a sin if the object of our love is in error)
  • “God understands our weaknesses.” (Truth-He provided an example Like Jesus to follow, hold firmly to our commitment to Him)40
  • God accepts us as we are.(Truth-He does not expect us to stay as we are. Change of heart, mind and way of life is the core essence of His word).
  • We are all God’s children (Truth-only those who are born of the Spirit and lead by the Spirit)41,42

Jesus said, His true disciples are those who continue to walk in His word, they will know the truth and He will set them free. Free from all bondage, penalty of sin, power of sin and eventually the presence of sin.43 There are powers at play in the unseen realm that are keeping people blind and in bondage, of beliefs, opinions and ideologies.44 There is a natural aversion to the truth and people are actually trapped in lies.45

Many have repackaged and redefined God to align with their lifestyles, crafting an idol that bears no resemblance to the God of Scripture. In the name of inclusivity, uncertainty in identity and morality has taken root, clashing with the exclusive truth of Christ. Jesus loved people deeply but never endorsed their sins. There is no compromise—you are either a child of God or of another.

People adeptly wield a front, playing the “victim card,” “intolerance card,” or “lack of love card” to justify their actions. They not only embrace lawlessness but teach it, leading others astray and approving of those who follow suit.46,47 Yet the outcome is clear: nothing escapes God’s sight, and He alone will render judgment.

His exclusive claim as the only way to God stands firm. Choosing Him aligns us with the Father, securing eternal life.
